Café Grumpy opened this Lower East Side location in the spring of 2011, pouring its own roasted coffee. The space previously housed a Judaica shop; the build-out exposed original brick walls, uncovered two hidden windows, and kept the existing colorful tile floor. Benches outside offer a place to sit with a cup. No WiFi.
